This is a high-quality, safety-certified AC-to-DC charger for DIY battery packs. It supports selectable 2-stage or 3-stage charging via DIP switches, and uses a proper CCCV (constant-current / constant-voltage) profile that works well for lithium packs when configured correctly (LFP, NMC, Lead Acid). It can also be used with sodium-ion packs that are designed for correct number of cells in series and not exceeding max cell voltage.

Charging Profile: CCCV (Lithium-Compatible)

  • Charge modes: 2-stage or 3-stage selectable by DIP switch (CC → CV, with optional float stage)
  • Default curves: 4 built-in charging curves selectable by DIP switch (pick the closest profile, then fine-tune if needed)
  • Best for: Lead-acid and lithium-ion battery packs (LFP / NMC). Sodium-ion packs that use CCCV charging and are configured to the correct setpoints.

Electrical

  • AC Input: 90–264 VAC, 50/60 Hz (universal input) with built-in PFC
  • Adjustments: Output voltage and output current adjustable (panel adjust). Charging current is adjustable (typically 50–100% of rated current).
  • Status indication: Front-panel LED charging status indicator
  • Power switch: Built-in AC on/off switch (very low standby draw when switched off)

Protections

  • Over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit, over-temperature protection
  • Reverse polarity protection: Internal fuse protection (do not rely on this as a routine “feature”—wire your pack carefully)

Mechanical / Interfaces

  • Cooling: Fanless and silent on the 120W/240W class (larger wattage variants may be fan-cooled)
  • AC inlet: IEC 320-C14 (uses a standard computer-style power cord)
  • DC output options: Multiple connector styles depending on variant (commonly terminal block / cable styles)
  • Operating temperature: -30°C to +70°C (derating may apply at higher temps)

Compliance

  • Safety approvals: UL/EN 62368-1 and IEC/EN 60335-1 / 60335-2-29 (dual safety certification)

Important Notes (Lithium Packs)

  • Setpoints matter: You must set the correct charge voltage and current limits for your exact chemistry and series count.
  • No auto-detect: This charger does not “know” your pack chemistry—configure it before use.
  • BMS required: Always use a BMS and appropriate fuse/breaker for your pack.
  • Float stage: 3-stage mode adds a float voltage after the main charge—great for lead-acid, and optional for lithium depending on how you operate your pack.
