A fuse is strongly recommended on any battery wire (house or starter) longer than 18 inches. Install the fuse as close to the battery as practical. A 5 Amp fuse rating is recommended and included.

A removable fuse installed on the house (yellow) wire can also be used to temporarily disable House2Start. House2Start should always be disabled whenever the starter battery is disconnected, such as for replacement or other vehicle repairs.
